I am not promising a comeback. I can't do that. What I can promise is a short little update to my life, and at least enough of a resurgence to prove to you what little readership I have left, that I, Eric Danforth can indeed write. I can put together a sentence now, even make it funny sometimes.
Reading those old entries, I get so embarrassed. It is kind of like seeing those naked baby pictures of you from when you were little. Like you still have that stuff, but its (hopefully) more developed and you just want the world to see what you've got. Ok, that was a bad analogy.
Anyway, since you last caught up with me, well, there is a lot to say.
I am a semester away from graduating with a Bachelor's degree. Double major in Social Work and Gender Studies (which I self-designed). I direct The Vagina Monologues now and do all kinds of awareness/fundraising.
I am pursuing the grad school thing, Social Work with an International concentration. I will update you guys on how that pans out (or not). Im applying to both Columbia and Boston College so keep your fingers crossed, especially for the first one.
Last year I went to Cameroon (life changing) and this year I will go to Kenya (surely to be equally as influential) and if things work out, India soon thereafter.
I intern at a homeless shelter for those with diagnosed mental illness. I love it.
In my spare time, I watch gross amounts of trash reality tv and judge people or read and educate myself. Unfortunately, more of the first but I am looking to swing that pendulum in the other direction, ya know?
Anyway, this is just the necessary update. I will hopefully be back soon. Or not. Dont say I didnt warn you this time.
